How do I go about getting tracks I’ve downloaded from band camp etc or bought digitally from Amazon onto my B2?

Hi StevieAber,

One way to achieve this would to use a USB stick or USB HDD, formatted as FAT32 and then use the folder and track structure shown below.  Transfer your music in this form to the USB device using a PC or Mac, and then plug the USB device into the B2's USB C port and use the 'Import from C'  function.  This will copy the music onto the B2 in the correct format.

Another method would be to enable NAS (network attached storage) on the B2 via  'Settings' -> 'Maintenance' - 'Start NAS'.

Then enable NAS on your PC/Mac, and your B2 music folder will appear on your PC/Mac as a folder.  You will then be able to create new artist and album folders on the B2 which will enable you to drag and drop your Basecamp files over to the B2.  Run 'Scan Disk' after each loading session so that the B2 'knows' about the new music.

Enabling NAS on the PC is sometimes the tricky bit, but there are a number of posts in this forum which should help, and we are here to offer additional guidance if required.

Peter.

OK, I'm going to again demonstrate my lack of computer know how.
I have a bunch of CDa ripped to flac on my computer and stored under the Music folder.
How do I transfer them to a stick or HDD? I have looked at dBpoweramp and Windows Media player, and the method eludes me. Any help out there?

Plug USB stick into USB port.
Open File Explorer (previously called File Manager or Windows Explorer.)
Open Music folder.
Select all the ripped CD folders you want to transfer.
Drag them to the USB drive letter on the navigation pane (left side) of the File Explorer.
Drop them there.

If a "drag and drop" tutorial was not what you were looking for, please ask the question that needs answering.

Hi stephenk9,

The music on the USB stick needs to arranged by Artist then Album then Tracks, like this -

If you are copying multiple Artists-Albums include the 'music' folder - not needed if there is only one Artist and one or more Albums.
